Where Do You Upload Transcripts on Nvivo
Importing Transcripts
Y'all can import transcript entries into audio or video sources. You lot tin can import an unabridged transcript or add entries to an existing transcript.
Transcripts can be in Word (.doc, .docx), rich text (.rtf), or text format (.txt).
When importing a transcript, you lot tin choose to create transcript entries based on

Timestamps

Create entries based on timestamp
If your transcript is made upwardly of paragraphs prefaced by a timestamp:

Cheque that your document is formatted correctly

Check that your document has valid timestamps

In NVivo , open up the video or audio source that you want to import transcript entries into.

On the Media menu, click Import Transcript Entries .
The Import Transcript Entries dialog box is displayed.

Click the Browse button on the Import from field.

Locate and select the document containing the transcript table.

Click Open up .

From the Create ane transcript row for each drop down list, click Timestamp .

In the Import Data Preview box, review the information you are importing. Information technology will display the first ten rows of the transcript content you are importing every bit read past NVivo.

Click OK .
The transcript will be imported.
Create entries based on paragraphs
To import transcript entries based on the paragraphs in a Word certificate.

Check that your document is formatted correctly

To populate any blank cells in a specific transcript field with the contents of the preceding cell, select the corresponding Fill Down bank check box.

Check that your delimited file has valid timestamps or timespans

In NVivo , open the video or sound source that you want to import transcript entries into.

On the Media menu, click Import Transcript Entries .
The Import Transcript Entries dialog box is displayed.

Click the Browse button on the Import from field.

Locate and select the document containing the transcript columns.

Click Open .

From the Create one transcript row for each driblet downwards list, click Tab Delimited Line or Comma Delimited Line .

If your transcript has a header row, click File includes header row check box.

In the Import Data Preview box, review the information you are importing. Information technology will display the first ten rows of the transcript content you lot are importing as read by NVivo.
